FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Papyrus & Pixel.

What is Papyrus & Pixel?

Papyrus & Pixel is more than a digital greeting card — it is a complete digital card-giving experience.

Each card combines Papyrus & Pixel artwork, your personalised message and an animated opening inspired by the pleasure of receiving a traditional card. Your recipient opens a digital envelope, breaks the wax seal, watches the card reveal itself, enjoys the front artwork and then turns the card to read your message.

It brings the anticipation and ceremony of giving a beautiful card into a digital experience.

Is this a printed card?

No. Papyrus & Pixel cards are created specifically for digital delivery. There is no printing, postage or physical delivery. Your recipient opens the card online and experiences the full animated presentation on their device.

How does a Papyrus & Pixel card work?

Choose a design, personalise your card, preview the finished result and complete your purchase. You’ll receive a unique link to send to your recipient. When they open it, they’ll experience the Papyrus & Pixel opening sequence — including the envelope, wax seal, card reveal, front artwork and your personalised message.

Can I personalise my card?

Yes. Every Papyrus & Pixel card includes text personalisation.

Some designs allow you to personalise text on both the front and back, while others have a fixed front design and personalised text on the back. The editor will clearly show which text can be changed before you purchase.

Personalisation currently applies to text only. The original artwork cannot be replaced with your own photographs, images or videos.

Can I personalise my card in a language other than English?

Yes. You can enter your personalised message in another language as long as your device supports typing in that language.

The live preview will show how your text appears before purchase. Some decorative fonts may display differently depending on the language and characters used, so we recommend checking the preview carefully before continuing to checkout.

Can I preview the card before I buy it?

Yes. You can review your personalised card before purchasing so you can check the wording, recipient details and appearance. You can also preview the Papyrus & Pixel opening experience so you know how the card will be presented when your recipient opens it.

How will my recipient receive the card?

After purchase, you’ll receive a unique link to the finished card. You can send it yourself by text message, email, WhatsApp or another messaging service of your choice.

Can Papyrus & Pixel send the card directly to my recipient?

Not currently. We intentionally leave delivery in your hands so you can choose exactly when and how your card is sent. It also means Papyrus & Pixel does not need to collect your recipient’s email address or phone number simply to deliver the card, reducing unnecessary handling of their personal information.

Does my recipient need a Papyrus & Pixel account?

No. Your recipient does not need an account and does not need to download anything. They simply open the unique card link you send them.

Can I send the same purchased card to more than one person?

No. A standard Papyrus & Pixel card purchase is for one intended recipient. Each purchased card has its own unique link and access controls designed to prevent repeated use across multiple recipients. If the system detects that a card has exceeded its permitted sharing access, further attempts to open the link may be blocked and the viewer will be told that the card appears to have been shared beyond its intended recipient. Your intended recipient can still return to their card and enjoy it again — normal repeat viewing is not restricted. 2 cards: use promo code bundle2 for 20% off. 3–10 cards: use promo code bundle for 25% off. For more than 10 cards, please contact us for a bulk or organisational arrangement.

If you’re sending several cards, we offer bundle savings to make things easier:

2 cards: use promo code bundle2 for 20% off.

3–10 cards: use promo code bundle for 25% off.

For more than 10 recipients, please get in touch so we can arrange an appropriate bulk or organisational option.

A single standard card purchase may not be reused as a multi-recipient card, including by replacing an individual name with generic wording such as “Dear team member.”

Can my recipient open their card more than once?

Yes. Your intended recipient can return to their personalised card and enjoy the opening experience again while the card remains available. Normal repeat viewing is not restricted.

How long will the card remain available?

Your card will remain available for at least 12 months from the date of purchase. Cards may remain accessible for longer, but Papyrus & Pixel currently guarantees access for a minimum of 12 months.

Does the opening experience include sound?

Yes. The opening experience can include subtle sound designed to accompany the envelope and card reveal. Sound can be switched off, and you can experience the opening yourself through our preview before purchasing so you know what your recipient will see and hear.

Can I send a Papyrus & Pixel card internationally?

Yes. Because Papyrus & Pixel cards are digital, you can send the card link to a recipient in another country without international postage or physical-delivery delays.

Can I edit my card after purchasing it?

Please review your card carefully before completing your purchase. Once purchased, the finished card is considered final and should not normally be expected to be editable.

If you discover a serious personalisation error — for example, an incorrect recipient name — contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to help depending on the circumstances, but corrections are not guaranteed and should not be expected immediately.

What is your refund policy?

Because Papyrus & Pixel cards are digital and personalised products, we do not generally offer refunds for change of mind after purchase.

If there is a technical failure, the card is not supplied as described or another genuine problem occurs with the order, please contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate solution.

Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under applicable consumer law. Australian customers retain their rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and customers elsewhere may also have mandatory rights under the laws that apply where they live.

I’m looking for a card for an occasion you don’t currently have. Can you create one?

We’d love to hear what you’re looking for.

If the occasion is already listed on Papyrus & Pixel but designs have not yet been released, let us know — customer requests can help us decide which upcoming collections to prioritise.

If the occasion is not currently listed, you’re welcome to suggest it too, provided it fits the Papyrus & Pixel aesthetic and creative direction.

We cannot guarantee every request or an immediate turnaround, so if you need the card for a particular date, please contact us as early as possible.

Do you offer cards for organisations, teams or bulk sending?

Yes. If you want to send cards to employees, customers, clients, members or another larger group, please contact us.

Orders of up to 10 cards can use our bundle offers. For more than 10 recipients, we can discuss a suitable arrangement for your organisation.

What are the usage terms for a purchased card?

A standard Papyrus & Pixel purchase gives you the right to use that finished digital card for one intended recipient.

It does not give permission to reproduce the artwork, extract elements from the design, resell the card, redistribute it for multiple recipients or use the artwork commercially.

Multi-recipient and organisational use requires the appropriate bundle or bulk arrangement. Use outside these terms may result in access being restricted, and Papyrus & Pixel reserves its rights in relation to unauthorised use.

Can I download, copy or reuse Papyrus & Pixel artwork?

No. Papyrus & Pixel artwork and designs are provided for use within Papyrus & Pixel card products and may not be copied, extracted, reproduced, modified for reuse, resold, redistributed or used commercially without permission.

If you are interested in organisational or commercial use, please contact us.

What if something goes wrong with my card or order?

Contact us with your order reference and a short description of the issue. We’ll review technical and order-related problems and help determine the appropriate solution.
